Background

It is an office under the Office of the President and cabinet, (OPC) created to run the affairs of the province in line with the devolution agenda. The Devolution and Decentralisation Policy elaborates on the Constitutional imperatives of bringing governance closer to communities and make it more accessible as a way of enhancing responsiveness, accountability and participatory governance over local development priorities.
